SOURDOUGH - AN INTRODUCTION
Sourdough is undeniably delicious and proven to a better bread choice, but baking it yourself can seem daunting. Our 1 day course will demystify the ancient art of 3 ingredient bread baking and boost your confidence as a home baker.
Join our expert bakers in our custom built classroom above Pettigrew Bakeries in Cardiff where you will get personal instruction as we cover 3 different 100% Sourdough Bread doughs from scratch.
WHAT DOES OUR 'SOURDOUGH INTRODUCTION' FULL DAY COURSE OFFER?
Our class is a perfect balance between 'hands on' experience and the theory behind Sourdough.
We will cover all aspects of fermentation, mixing techniques, shaping & moulding with plenty of time for troubleshooting questions & answers.
Bakers leave with freshly baked Sourdough breads hot from the ovens, organic Shipton Mill flour, recipes, a new 'Starter' with instructions on how to look after it at home & the knowledge & confidence to get baking!
This course is aimed at any skill level, from first time baker to those who have already caught the Sourdough bug. We focus on Rye & Wheat based flours.
Lunch & refreshments are provided throughout the day.
